1969 Ford Torino GT
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is a 1969 Ford Torino GT formal roof muscle car. It has a good running 351W V8 engine under the hood. It and original GT, vinyl top, bucket seat, center console, A/C (now disconnected – I have parts) car. The bucket seats are in great shape. The top has been replaced within the last 5 years. The care has true dual exhaust. This is a great daily driver for cruise night or bring out its real potential with a little work. The reserve is low. This is a cheap way to get into classic cars. Mechanical: The starts and runs every time. Odometer says 40,000. I have no idea if this is correct but it seems to be functional. Within the last 5 years the following parts have been replaced. Control arms, all shocks, radiator, hoses, belts, alternator, carburetor, fuel pump, head lights, plugs, wires, cap, brake booster, master cylinder, oil pan, brakes, rotors. The car now has dual exhaust. The wheels are 17inch GT rims that fit and ride like a charm. The power steering is also functional. Everything works except the A/C which is disconnected. I have the parts in a box. The Body: The body is in fairly good shape. It is not a show car but it is presentable. There is some Bondo in the rear quarters but the rest is metal. There is a small rust bubble forming on the right fender (see picture). The torque boxes and under carriage are in good shape. The floor pans in the front toe area were patched with fiberglass sheets. It has held for the 8 years I had the car but brand new floor pans go with the car. The rear floor areas are ok.. I brought them but never put them on. The engine is dry underneath. No oil leaks from the bottom. The vinyl top was replaced. The hood scoop was added. This is a real GT but it came from Ford with no scoop. All the glass is good. The dash was cut for a modern cd system. This can easily be restored to original. The bumpers are OK but should be re-chromed if you plan to show it on the serious level. The paint is weathered but shines ok with a good detail job. I could stand to be repainted in the next year or two. There is some rust on the drivers side of the trunk floor pan where it meets the rear quarter. Overall: This is a good running car to have some fun with. You could drive it as is or put some work into it and make it a real show car. The parts are easy to get. It shares many parts with Mustangs of the same year. I will give the buyer some extra parts if the BUY it Now price is met. You’ll be different from all the Mustangs, Novas, and Camaros. I have a clear title on hand. Sale Terms: 500.00 non refundable deposit due 24 hours after the auction ends. The rest due at time of pick up .
