This 2.6 engine was purchased a few years ago from an Ace enthusiast in Los Angeles who was saving it for a project he had but sold unfinished. I bought it for an Aceca vintage race car I was working on to replace the AC engine that was missing. I paid $2700 for it but it was in my backyard. A few months later, I bought a fully conditioned triple SU carb manifold assembly for this engine from a seller in England. It cost $1200 after shipment but I had all the major items to build a proper Aceca Zephyr (I think one was built by the factory before they discontinued production). I paid a premium for the carb setup because it had all the correct linkage and mounting brackets, air cleaners, gaskets, etc vs paying someone to re-engineer this starting from carbs (HS4's -1 1/2"). This is the correct engine series that would have originally been in the Ace/Aceca which is important in some vintage racing organizations. The engine is complete with its orig carb/manifold, pressure plate-clutch-flywheel, motor mounts, etc except starter and generator. The last items should be upgraded anyway. The orig owner claimed to have driven the low milage car it came from (40K miles). The valve cover was pulled and other than some dried oil residue there were no signs of wear that would indicate otherwise. I can put this on a crate and deliver to a shipper if necessary...it runs about $400 coast to coast these days. Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I will assist as much as possible. Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures. | ||||||||||||||||||||
