In 1984, Mike Yates opened the doors to GMC Truck Country on Dysart Road in Avondale AZ.  GMC Truck Country started with just 9 employees and 6 new GMC trucks for sale!  Interstate 10 stopped at Dysart Road in those days so the only connection to Phoenix was by surface streets such as Buckeye.

In 1996, Mike opened the doors again-moving Yates Pontiac GMC to our current beautiful facility at I-10 and Litchfield Road in Goodyear AZ.  The Pontiac brand had been added in 1990.  The new facility was much nicer, and allowed us to provide even better service and better products for our loyal customers.  Our expansion continued as we added our Quick Lube and an additional 19 service bays in 1991.  In 2003 the area was growing and again so did Yates Pontiac GMC becoming Yates Buick Pontiac GMC with the addition of the prestigious Buick lineup.

So many changes and so many years, but one thing has always stood true, loyal customers who have become our friends, great service and always a great place your vehicle can call home.
