OEM GOLD VATS Cadillac key with the Cadillac crest on both sides. Cadillac's produced from 1989 to 1997 use VATS ignition keys. Notice the black resistor in the shank of the key. The resistors are numbered from #1 to #15. This auction is for a #11. If you do not know the number of your key, you can easily read it with an digital volt-ohm meter, or have your local locksmith do it for you. (See picture below,) It's easy with an auto ranging digital volt-ohm meter, just touch both sides of the resistor (the silver tabs in the middle of the black plastic insert), with the probes and there's your number, otherwise, try different meter positions within the ohm range (Ω) until you get a number like one of the ones in the chart below. Keep in mind the reading may be off by a few numbers from the chart, (2 - 5%) but the key will still work.

These keys are absolutely beautiful. Honestly, it's amazing that I came across these keys and once they are gone they may once again become impossible to find. DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY! These keys can be cut by your local locksmith.
