Up for sale is this set of oem Harley-Davidson Shovelhead cases. I purchased thes at a local bike shop that is closing down. The owner told me he has had these for years and can't remember their origin. They look reworked to include the lower oil cooling reservoir with inner baffle. I was told that this greatly reduces oil temperature and drag on the flywheels helping with engine overall performance. I do know this is why Delkron and some other aftermarket companies produce cases in this same manner. I see no real issues except old weld repair of lower front primary mounting area as shown in last pic. There are helicoils in all primary and cam/ timing cover holes. I was told this is the rule not the exception when swapping out cams and setups during the R&D process. All other threads look perfect. Stamped Race Only in serial number boss area. These cases are matched with serial numbers and case half numbers. These cases look great to me and I would keep them myself as I have a feeling these are factory R&D cases. (No one would take the time to handwork these with all the aftermarket cases now available.) But I have too many parts and pieces hanging around with more to come from this shop so stay tuned for more in the coming weeks! These will be sold with bill of sale only!
