2005 Custom Chopper
ONE OF A KIND CUSTOM BUILT
It will be hard to write about all the details of this bike but I will do my best. This bike is a ONE OFF and built by me completely from the ground up. I own a machine shop and powder coat company and everything was done with complete attention to detail.
Let me start by explaining the basic set up of the bike. It is a Classic jockey shift set up with the clutch at the left foot lever, rear brake at the right foot lever, front break at the right hand lever, and an internal throttle in the right grip. This set up leaves the bars incredibly clean and simple looking without loosing any function. All grips and pegs are custom made in my machine shop. I have run stainless steel brake line for both the front and rear brakes.
The bike runs a 113" Ultima El Bruto with compression releases, a Ultima 5 Speed Heavy Duty Bullshift Transmission. S&S Super G Shorty Carb, 3" Open Primary, Crane HI-4 Ignition, Spyke Starter (push button), 250 Rear Tire. To make things easier for those of you a bit nervous about running a foot clutch and jockey shift I have installed an EFM Auto Clutch. The clutch only engages as the RPM's increase the faster the rpm's the more pressure holding the clutch. You can find out more info at efmautoclutch.com .
I am a big guy 6'4"and 275 lbs, so I have 2" extended pegs, I would think if you are a small person you will need to change the foot controls to stock size.
Great attention was paid to trying to keep the bike looking simple while not loosing any function. In the head light casing you can see two switches the one on the left is the kill switch and the one on the right is the headlight control lowbeam/off/highbeam. Also in the head light you will find a fully functioning Speedo/Tach/Odometer. This comes in the form of a recessed Dakota Digital HLY-3015. If you do not know about these gauges please look it up on the web, they really provide a lot of information such as speedometer, tach, odometer, trip odometer, neutral light, low oil pressure, low voltage, and more.
The leather work was done by John at Roberti Customs in Houston, Tx. This includes the saddle, p-pad, and bar wraps. It is a natural leather look that looks better the longer it is on the bike.
There are a lot of details that are better explained in the pictures, such as pin stripping, wrapped exhaust, Mack Truck Bull Dog, custom hose clamps, Custom Spade coil cover, ect.
Please note that this bike does not come with turn indicators installed. They were installed at one time (you can see the mounting holes on the rear fender) but I never used them and wanted to strip the bike of anything I did not use. I have never had trouble with the police about this, I have actually been pulled over twice and both time were to check out the bike and ask who built it. I will include the Thunder Heart Performance harness as well as the indicators I used with the sale of the bike.
This bike is registered as a special construction in CA, before the "Lifetime Custom" rule came into effect.
I am really proud of this bike and will answer any questions I can. You can ask questions through this site or feel free to call me. I will be completely honest.
Here is a video so you can really get a sense of what it looks and sounds like.
