1939 "G" FLATHEAD MOTOR
Offered here is a nice clean 1939 Harley Davidson basket case motor. Motor is a 'G" motor but could be used in your custom bobber project or any two wheel bike - the 'G" motors are for the Harley Servicar, Trike, Servicar. I have tried to show everything in the pictures. I had offered this previousely with the frame but there was to much confusion on those that wanted the motor or the frame. I have decided to keep the rearend/frame and build me a trike - so the motor is for sale. The motor cases appear to be in good shape, has the cylinders, heads, pistons, crank and rods and I have a distributor. There is a can of parts that I poured out and took pictures of also, what looks like the cams and inner gears and oil pump. Numbers on the motor are clear as shown by photos. What is shown in the photos is all I have period!
I have had several people ask if I have the title with the motor - NO - it will come with a bill of sale only. I can apply for a title through the Ky. Dept of Motor Vehicle but if I go to all the trouble to get a 1939 title then we're talking $1,500 for a motor with clear title. My reserve is nowhere near that.
You all know what these motors bring rebuilt so don't come at me with some rediculous low ball price of
$3-$400 dollars. I will make a lamp out of it before I sell that cheap.
Bill of sale only but I don't think you will have any trouble getting a title on a 1939 as they were titled to the motor. Barn fresh. One old Harley guy came down and said the motor serial number stampings were the cleanest and clearest he had ever seen on one of these old motors. Where you going to find a pre-war Harley this cheap?? What you see is what you get. Please email with any questions.
While here check out my killer 1974 shovel head, 2003 Indian,2008 Ultra Classic and a one of a kind 1936 Harley tribute knuckle head. We have a full time bike shop here in London - Renegade Service Center - so we kinda know what were doing. We build custom bikes and buy and repair theft recovery bikes for a living. Once again - please email with questions and only bid if you intend to buy. I can box the motor and ship but shipping will not be cheap - Expect around $50 or more depending on where you live if I ship via U.P.S. I will only charge the actual shipping charges to you - I don't get paid for handling as I've never figured that one out. No disrespect but I would prefer to sell in the U.S. only as I don't have any experience shipping something this heavy overseas.
