This motorcycle was acquired about 8 years ago strictly as an investment. Retirement and downsizing have resulted in space limitations and disposal of several collector items or rental of storage space. It was restored by a gentleman who died a couple of years ago. My knowledge about the prior history of this bike is limited to the information obtained from the previous owner . The accuracy of all details, specifications, condition, etc. should be independently verified by any prospective buyer.
The previous owner showed this bike in a custom class and was awarded a first place trophy.
Approximately 2 miles have been put on this bike during the period of our ownership. About six months ago a mechanic checked the bike and replaced the carburater and battery. He reported that the transmission “pops out” of high gear. He rode the bike from his shop which is a distance of about 2 miles. It has an oil leak.
This motorcycle has a Texas title as a 1941 Harley Davidson. The VIN Number (T29321) on the title matches the engine number back to 09/01/1993. Texas Department of Transportation advises that microfilm records are not available prior to 09/01/1993. No belly numbers. The transmission has four forward gears--no reverse. The previous owner indicated the displacement is 80 ci, lower end flathead 80, cam HD, lifters HD, pistons S & S, cases HD, heads Knuckle HD, and the cylinders Panhead HD. The paint is Dupont Burg Metallic (N8252) and Dupont Black Metallic (G8730). The wheels are 16 inch, Hubs Star Timkin Bearing, Rims are chromed 16, spokes J & P chromed, tires Dunlap Whitewalls, carburator Bendix, air cleaner V-Twin, frame is unknown, and pipes V-Twin. Actual milage is unknown.
