1974 HARLEY DAVIDSON
SHOVEL HEAD
5552 ORIGINAL MILES
THERE JUST AIN'T NOTHING THAT SOUNDS AS GOOD AS A SHOVEL HEAD. I am selling another of my personal bikes here. I know some of you hard core Harley riders are thinking - not another AMF junker - think again. This bike was completly dissambled and every piece either chromed or high polished. Someone back in the 70's made a show bike and went through everything and added just the best. Custom billet front end, billet forward controls, the upper jugs were filed and polished and look like chrome and the rocker covers were show chrome plated - inner and outer primary polished or plated. Custom billet brakes front and rear. Custom black and red flamed paint job.The labor alone to do a job like this would be in the thousands. I've never seen another bike with polished motor cases till this one. The only thing I can pick at on this bike is the triple trees. They have some minor pitting on the chrome which shows the real difference between show chrome and factory chrome. If I was fixing it I would simply strip the chrome and polish the aluminum to a show shine. With a few hours work this bike will be a show piece again. Kick or electric start.
This bike was stolen at one time and was a theft recovery and is shown on the current Kentucky title, in hand, to be a rebuilt bike. Heck, every thing on it has been taken down and chromed or polished - better than new. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EMAILS ASKING ABOUT THE VIN AND MOTOR NUMBER AND IF MY BIKES HAVE ADDED ON VIN PLATES FROM THE KENTUCKY DMV - THE ANSWER IS NO. MY TITLE SHOWS THE 1HDXXXX NUMBERS AS WELL AS THE MOTOR NUMBER AND THAT'S IT - NO NEW OR ADDED NUMBERS - JUST HARLEY ORIGINAL NUMBERS. I have saved the best for last - THIS BIKE ONLY HAS 5,552 ORIGINAL MILES ON IT AND SHOWS ON THE TITLE AND SPEEDO. Where you going to find a vintage Harley Shovel Head with only 5,000 miles. Email with any questions - PLEASE - before you bid. Check my feedback to ensure your dealing with an honest, straight dealing person. Please do not bid if you have 0 feedback unless we have discussed your bid via email - as I will cancel your bid. While here check out all my other bikes for sale now. A really nice like new 2008 Harley Ultra Classic, 2003 Indian, 1939 Harley flat head motor, and last but by no means least - a project we have been working on for over 2 years in the shop during our spare time - 1 1936 Harley Davidson Knuckle Head tribute bike.
I am looking for a 67 Chevelle project. I would prefer a 138 car - rust free please - but would consider a good clone project. Keep me in mind or email pictures. I am NOT interested in taking any Japanese bikes or newer model so called hot rods in trade so save me and you some time and don't ask. Buy mine and sell yours!!!
PLEASE NOTE: BUYER TO ARRANGE SHIPPING. WE CAN HOLD THE BIKE AS LONG AS NEEDED IN OUR HEATED, SECURE SHOP AS LONG AS THE BIKE IS PAID IN FULL.
All bikes are for sale locally and we reserve the right to stop any of our auctions at any time. - Better hit the buy it now and not set around.
