This kit solves these problem, you will have more people now asking where you got the good looking custom saddlebags.

This NEW kit includes everything you will need to convert your bags over to this sleek new look. The other ones you will see for sale are basically plastic.  They do not hold up as well, as evidenced by another company that sells a bracket to help keep them from breaking. You will receive 2 chrome pop up latches, 4 hole covers ( to replace the pop rivets once you remove them ).   There is NO DRILLING of holes (except during removal of the Hockey puck pop rivets and rivet holes) they slip right in, ( you may need to open the hole up approx.1/8th inch by filing or sanding) and with some minor adjustments to the existing metal latch and your ready to go.

The pictures show my 2007 FLHTP saddlebag, the pop up latch  shows both the open and closed, locked position and also with the plain hole covers ...  The photos show the latch in a previously drilled 1.25" hole, (with a spacer) so all is not lost if you had drilled your bags out.  (advise if you need spacers, I do have spacers.  Just indicated that you need them)  These latches are heavier duty,they lock differently as you shut the bag, push the latch in and it is now locked. To open push the latch and pull. 

The other ones you will see for sale are basically plastic.  They do not hold up as well, as evidenced by another company that sells a bracket to help keep them from breaking.  (Why do you need a brace ? To keep them from breaking)

Included in the directions is a link to show the actual operation of this latch.   Similar latches sell for up to $80 at Squad Fitters, and as much as $60 on line in other auctions...  Don't get stuck bidding for these in another auction, unless you want to pay more...
