CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741 .  Up for sale is a 1965 Honda CL72 Scrambler 250.  This bike is #69 off the production line in the year of this model production.  It has the original motor and it runs strong and carries the production # CL72E-1000074.  This bike was stored in dry storage correctly for many years.  It had the gas tank and carbs drained.  The inside of the tank and carbs are in great shape.   It has been serviced with a new battery, fresh fuel line and fresh oil change, and fresh gas.  The spark plugs and air filters are in very good shape.  There is new needles and seats in the carburetors.  The motor has the 305cc cylinders and pistons installed on it.  Best educated guess would be for more power on the street. More displacement = more power so that again is my best educated guess.  The previous owner has passed and the bike was purchased at an estate sale so I could not inquire as to the reason for the cylinder and piston replacement.  The motor starts right up and sounds very strong. There is no smoke.  There is a very slight gas drip at the fuel shut off only when running.  The bike needs a brake light switch.  The front tire has dry rot cracks.  The rear tire looks newer.  The headlight and horn works.  The tank has a small ding on right side.  The repaint appears to be from the late 60's, also evident by the custom seat and one-off sissy bar complimenting the bike from that era.  The seat has a small tear on the lower left side corner.  The bike will need some fine tuning, and the bike is complete and all there.  Please look at all the pictures.  Please keep in mind that you are looking at a true survivor here.  This is a 47 YEAR OLD Honda.   I was checking out a Walneck's classic cycle trader and there is a 1960 Honda dream in the similar patina with a low production # and similar mileage and they were asking $7500!!.  No I am not asking even remotely close to that kind of money.  What I have here is a classic, vintage motorcycle here being offered at a very fair reserve for a buyer to take home at an affordable price.  I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THIS MOTORCYCLE.  I will be happy to provide information for a title company that I have previously used for vintage bikes that works great and can help you acquire the proper paperwork needed.  Again any questions on this bike contact Jeff at 570 977 0741.
