1962 HONDA CB92R BENLY SUPER SPORT
Original, Unrestored, Running Condition
Motor # CB92E-2102914 Frame # CB92-2103295
Original Paint, Runs Great, Sounds Great! Starts on first kick, electric starter works, kick start works. Factory tachometer works, headlight tail light & horn work. Original key & switches work (key is a little stiff & torn). Front & Rear brakes work, clutches and runs through the gears with no noise. Suspension also works as it should.
I beleive this is a CB92R with factory high compression pistons & rings, other factory items include: tachometer, racing seat, megaphone exhaust pipes, short windshield, speedo gear box cap, low handle bar with ball tipped levers for road racing, racing carburator jets, and additional oil cooling assembly on the front of each cylinder.
I am NOT a Honda expert, Please do your own research and draw your own conclusions.
The CB92R's were produced for sale in the US and appear in the 1961 and 1962 sales brochures it is not clear whether they were produced by the factory or American Honda, but they were delivered to dealers with some of the race kit parts already installed. There is no evidence that the CB92R's were specially marked in anyway. I beleive this bike was originally sold by Bill Krause Honda in Inglewood CA.
This bike is 47 years old, although it has great original patina there are numerous small scratches, dents, dings and scuffs on it. The original rims are very good with a couple spots of light surface rust, not enough to show in the pictures. The exhaust head pipes are ok, but the megaphone mufflers though solid do need to be re-chromed. both Fender mud flaps are missing, both mirrors are off, I have 1 mirror with out glass. The original battery is gone. The replacement battery is not holding a good charge and should be replaced. The air cleaner element should be replaced along with the rubber intake hose. The steering dampener knob is missing, the plexiglass windshield is cracked. The bike was stored with fuel in the tank. The tank should be thoroughly cleaned. The bike does not have a speedometer so I have no idea of actual mileage.
Also included in this sale are the Honda Shop Manuel in great shape dated January 31st 1963. A complete spare carburator and 1 mirror with out glass.
The bike is available for viewing and inspection at any time.

Outside US sales must be made in US funds.

I have used a motorcycle shipper that I can highly recomend. A secured covered semi, with door to door delivery, no crating required. Approximately $550.00 coast to coast, less for shorter distances.
Thank you and Good Luck Bidding
