I bought this bike with all of then intent of a total restoration, but just dont have the time or the patience to do it anymore. I have kind of lost interest and the other one I restored was enough. So, I am putting this one up for a sale.
I have a 1969 CL 350 Scrambler, red/white, that is all original except the grips. The other owner put on some 'tiddy' grips. The seat was crappy, so I got a new Zeihl seat cover from Canada and had the buddy strap stiched in dark red to match the bike. Looks nice. I replaced the shift levers with new ones, cable adjusters, and added aftermarket mirrors. The tires are nice but do not match the bikes original ones. The tank has one small dent at the left top that Im sure could be removed with paintless dent repair and the top is a little faded on the left side, but not bad. Rims have a little surface rust, as well as spokes but with brillo will clean up nice. Exhaust is very nice, no holes or rusted out and no cam chain noise either. The black heat shield guard has been repainted, but I have a new one never installed to go with the bike.
Since I have had the bike, I have not washed it or anything and it is in the condition that I bought it. I did put a new battery in it, and have kept it on a battery tender, but the battery will need replacing and if I get the buy now price, I will take care of that for you.
The bike runs strong, pulls hard, and runs to the redline without a bobble, very quick. All electrical is functional, but the bulb for the high beam is out.
All in all, If you are looking for a nice bike to restore to original, or just a bike to say,, ''I have one'',, this is the bike. Buy it today and ride it today...
This is a hard to find original bike that just needs cleaned up into a BEAUTY.
Thanks a lot and good luck!!!!!!!
