It’s a 1975 model, the first year Honda made the Goldwing, made in Jan of 1975, with serial # GL1-1000092, which means it is the 92nd Goldwing to ever be made. That is why it is so rare! It is truly a collector’s item, and it may very well be the oldest Goldwing still running, and in super condition physically and mechanically. With this serial #, and in this condition, it will be the talk of the shows, or anywhere you go - especially among Goldwing owners/lovers.
Here is some info about the bike:
1. Motor runs good and strong – I just took it for a ride and the motor purrs and has good acceleration. I have had a lot of Goldwings over the years and this one runs as good as the best ones that I have owned.
2. Bike has 45,XXX miles on it
3. Compression is good in each cylinder
4. Everything works .
5. As best I can tell, it has all original (OEM) parts, with the exception of the seat, which came with the bike and the headlight, which I upgraded to a halogen light. Of course some OEM parts have been replaced with Chrome parts of the same OEM style.
6. New OEM front turn signals
7. Rebuilt Front brake master cylinder
8. Rebuilt Both Front brake calipers
9. Rebuilt Rear Brake master cylinder
10. Rebuilt Rear Brake caliper
11. Gas tank cleaned, sealed and coated, so no rust problems
12. Seat is not original, but is in good condition
13. Even comes with the original “Kick starter” bar the will allow you to kick start the bike (should you want to).
14. Comes with the original owners manual
15. Carburetors have been gone through, cleaned, and synchronized
16. New Clutch plates and clutch cable
17. The chrome seems to be in really good condition, especially for as many years as it has been sitting under a tarp (among other places).
18. New paint job throughout
19. Comes with a Vetter Fairing that has the Honda emblem on it and, as I understand it, it was made specifically for Honda for their touring package.
20. New Front and Rear Tires –
This bike is ready for the road. I would not hesitate to take off tomorrow from Florida and drive across country and back.
