This is a RELISTING of a real good and hard to find engine as both the Head AND the Cylinder have the smaller numbered 49cc cast onto them instead of the newer big block numbering 49cc.  The Reserve amount was not quite hit on the first listing and I cannot afford to let this engine go for less than the Reserve.

I regularly get cores and rehab them and list them on eBay.  Note there is one chipped fin on the head top which is entirely cosmetic and will not interfere with the performance of this engine.  My work is good and I have other engines that I have rehabbed like a 1968 Z50AE, a couple of ATC70 engines and a couple of CT70 engines.  I am ready to make an engine for you, work on your engine at MOST reasonable rates, or sell you this or another engine.  I can be reached at 913-244-4910.

HONDA Z50AE-151218 which I believe is from the 1969-1971 model years but will fit into MANY of the Z50 and CT70 and other models of straightline engine bikes although it is a 40 year old engine so it is not brand new.  It has a three speed centrifugal semi-automatic transmission and although it is a 49cc engine it is regularly referred to as a 50cc i.e. Z50 minitrail

INCLUDED: Brand New 3-prong stator kit with brand new points and a brand new condenser all as pictured, with a Brand new NGK sparkplug.  See other new parts and work below.

Engine has been completely disassembled to install a very good used internal kickstarter shaft.  The clutch has been disassembled and cleaned and there are no broken or chipped teeth on the gears in the transmission.

Along with the internal kickstarter shaft the following parts have been installed:

Mostly all new gaskets except the Head gasket 

The piston and rings looked good and the valves tested well and the engine showed very little startup smoke during the short test running I did - the cylinder received a good honing

New timing chain cylinder roller, new shift drum nut plug, new tappet caps and o-rings, and cylinder/head o-rings.  All aluminum and copper washers are in their proper places.  There are many other brand new nuts and bolts including the long through-bolt that holds the round cam sprocket cover in place, used on this engine.  The splines on the gear shift shaft and the starter shaft are good and true and strong.

Engine comes with a good used gearshift lever but no rear drive sprocket nor a kickstarter lever.  The engine comes with a good looking although used and painted flywheel sidecover.  The clutch sidecover as well as the flywheel sidecovers were rattlecan painted so take care not to spill gas on them as they may blemish on contact with solvents like gasoline or ether-starting fluid.  The cylinder has been painted with 500 degree heat Black.

Because it is no secret to me, the Reserve price on this engine as pictured with all of the new and used parts and a whole lot of labor hours is $250 which is the amount I have invested, and I have set a Buy Now option on this item which will self-cancel when the Reserve is hit and the item will then go to the highest bidder.  There were a lot of watchers on the first listing but again the Reserve was not quite met.

I ship quickly using FedEx and the shipping rate is $35.  This engine is ready to go after adding oil.  It is not a CDI engine as it has points and the condenser.
