ICOM IC-M55 Marine Transciever VHF radio

  • Not sure how old this radio is- atleast 15 or 20 years.  It was in a boat I bought, and used for several years. 
  • Condition:  USED, does not completely function.  It recieves all channels fine, but does not transmit fully.  It will key the channel when you key the mike, but does not transmit any voice signal.  I believe this means the microphone is bad, but I can't verify that.  I tried unsuccessfully to find a replacement mike.  The mike requires and older round 7 pin connection, so you might be able to find another mike out there that will work.  Needless to say, this is an "as-is" auction, no returns on this one.
  • Gets Marine VHF channels and NOAA Weather Channels
  • Runs off a 12V power source (not included) and requires a VHF coax antenna (also not included)
  • Some cosmetic damage (scratches, a little rust) on the case & mike, but other than that in good shape.
  • Includes a mounting bracket + 2 screw connectors to hold the unit to the bracket on each side.

  • Handmike Part Number IC-HM4

This is an as-is auction with no- returns- probably for a vintage radio collector or a electronics whiz who can wire a new mike into it.
