Vehicle Description

 

INSURANCE SALVAGE:  For sale is a 1984 Grady White 25 walk around cuddy stern drive model powered with twin 1994 MerCruiser 5.0L (305 CID) V-8 engines.  For more information on the successor to this boat please visit: http://www.gradywhite.com/

THIS BOAT suffered a partial salt water submersion during a storm and has been declared a total loss by the owner's insurance company.

THE BOAT IS POWERED WITH TWIN MerCruiser 5.0 LX V-8 4 –stroke stern drive inboards with FWC systems.  Both engines were partially submerged and were not serviced immediately upon recovery.  The engines are seized at this time and will require overhauls.  Included are 2 MerCruiser Alpha One – Generation II stern drives which are in good condition.  These engines are not the original power in this boat.  According to the engine serial numbers, they were produced by Mercury Marine in 1994.  The transom plates and drives were apparently replaced at the same time as their serial numbers are in the same range as the engines.

ALTHOUGH THE ENGINES WERE SUBMERGED, the submersion appears to be confined to the engine compartment.  The cabin shows no indication of any submersion damage.  We powered up the electronics and all appeared to be in good working order.

THE BOAT WAS WELL EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:

SiTex 24 mile radar which we powered up and it appears to operate properly.

Raytheon V860 Color Sounder which we powered up and it appears to operate properly

Raytheon RayNav 575 LORAN which we powered up and it appears to operate properly

SiTex AM/FM Stereo which we powered up and it appears to operate properly

Sea Star 770 autopilot which we powered up and it appears to operate properly

Powerwinch electric anchor windlass which does not operate

Floscan Fuel Monitoring System

Hydraulic trim tabs

Lowrance 3400 digital depth sounder which we powered up and it appears to operate properly

Pressure fresh water system

Sea water washdown system

Outriggers

4 batteries

Battery charger

THE HULL IS UNDAMAGED. We sounded the entire hull bottom and found no apparent defects.

WARRANTY: NONE.  The boat will be sold AS IS/WHERE IS. 

TITLE:  this boat will be sold under a free and clear title issued by the State Of New York.  This is NOT a salvage title.

INSPECTION:  the boat is currently stored in Plymouth, Massachusetts.  Inspection is available by contacting racemarine@aol.com or by calling (508) 747-0014.

BIDDING: bidders with a feedback score of less than 5 and bidders from outside of the USA and Canada are required to send a deposit of $500.00 to racemarine@aol.com via PayPal before bidding on this auction.  Failure to do so will result in bid rejection.  If you are not the successful bidder, your deposit will be refunded at the close of the auction.  This is necessary in order to protect the auction and serious bidders from scammers.

DELIVERY:  transportation and loading are at the buyer's cost.

PAYMENT:  a deposit of $500.00 is required by PayPal, cash or bank check within 48 hours of the auction close.  Balance is due within 10 days or upon delivery, whichever occurs first.
