 Pressure Test Kit

This is a great little kit for testing the seals in your outdrive or outboard gearcase. Defective, worn out seals can be detected before water enters the gearbox and causes damage and expensive repairs. If a leak is detected, the pressure will force air or oil from the outdrive showing you the faulty seal.

The test procedure is simple and can be performed by an amateur or pro.

This tester fits Mercruiser Pre Alpha and Alpha from the 1960's to present, Bravo 1, 2, & 3, OMC, and Volvo.

Mercury, Evinrude, Johnson, Honda (70 - 90hp), Force, and Gamefisher outboards.

The 3/8 x 16 thread will also fit many other models. Please check your vent or drain for thread size.

OMC and Volvo drives have a 3/8 x 16 drain hole and a 1/2 x 13 dipstick hole. The standard tester will fit the drain hole. This works well, but can be messy due to residual gear lube. I offer an adapter for the dipstick hole on another auction.

I also have adapters for all models including metrics.

Note: For Alpha 2 Gen 2, Bravo 1, 2, & 3, or any outdrive using a transom mount oil reservoir (burp bottle), the bottle must be disconnected before testing on the boat.

This tester can be used with the outdrive / outboard on the boat or in the shop.

All kits are 100% tested for leaks and function prior to shipment.

Ships with full testing instructions and a spare O-ring.

All fittings are aluminum or brass and will not rust. Large 2 inch gauge for ease of use. Kit includes carrying case and blade screwdriver to remove the drain and vent plug.

A few strokes on the pump are all you need to reach testing pressure. The air chuck is built into the pump.
