I've had this IR Cordless Impact (kit W7150-K2) since August, 2015 (at the time of this writing it is March, 2016), and it has certainly made life much easier in the time I've had it. First off, I've never had a cordless impact before, so I can't compare it to other models, but I will say this one seems to live up to the hype. It breaks loose 99% of nuts and bolts with ease (I've only found a handful of nuts/bolts it didn't want to turn in all the months I've used it). It's definitely saved me alot of sweat and busted knuckles over using my conventional ratchet and socket set on stubborn fasteners, many of which are also rusty. From the first time you pull the trigger on this impact, you can feel the torque and you know it means business. Even so, I think the biggest surprise I found with this impact is the longevity of the batteries- you can use this impact all day on just one battery on a single charge. With as much power as it has, I was expecting it to deplete battery charges rather quickly, which is why I bought the kit with 2 batteries, as I usually do with my cordless power tools- I like having 2 batteries so once the first one dies, I can throw it on the charger and continue working using the second battery. However, with this impact, I have yet to ever use the second battery! For that reason, for those looking to buy this kit, I say that it *MAY* not be necessary to buy the kit with 2 batteries and you could probably get by with the kit with only 1 battery. The way I look at it now, though, knowing this, is that at least if one of my batteries goes bad and needs to be replaced at some point, I can just use the other battery in the kit instead of having to worry about buying another battery. Overall, after several months of ownership and use, I'm still happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who works in the automotive field or who does any kind of work regularly that requires removing stubborn, rusted nuts and bolts. You'll thank yourself for the time and effort it saves you.Read full review

When I first picked up impact, thought it's too heavy. I was wrong, it gets comfortable right away. It has torque to spare; but is nicely managed with the variable trigger and instant stop. It is easy on the body, meaning it doesn't try to wind you up; the torque is applied to the fastener not the operator. Battery life is good with an accurate fuel gauge. You can spend more on other brands but I think you're wasting your money. It has a nice protective cover [add on] I would recommend since it is better to lay it down between use. It is a bit top heavy for resting it upright. My only real complaint is battery compatability. Most of my stuff is Milwaukee so now I've got another charger, etc. to add to my collection.

This is my second one. Have my first one at work now and still works great. Re built a 79 Bronco from the ground up and this impact never failed once on 28 year old bolts and nuts. Battery life is very impressive as well.

I waited a while to review this impact to see how it held up. I run a wrecker service and use it everyday, we all love it, even better than our 4 snap ons, I highly nrecomend it.
