This scout started life as a traveler. I got it as a project about three years ago.  My intention was to make it convert back and forth from a pickup to a six passenger suv. I fixed it up and put a half cab on it from a scout II.  I never completed the project.  My son needed a vehicle, so he used it as you see it for a daily driver for the last year, until he got his own truck.  I had intended to put the outer trim back on as well as bumpers.  I was also going to recover the seat. I have upolstry material for it if you want it.  The engine is a 345 V8 and runs well although it is a bit cold blooded. It has a manual choke.  The automatic transmission shifts well but drips fluid. It runs down the road well and the four wheel drive works well.  The front axle has new brakes, rotors and wheel bearings.  There is no radio or a/c. It has power steering and brakes and a tilt steering wheel.  belts and hoses are fairly new. I still have the full top (minus the lift gate) and the rear folding three person bench seat.  I also have all the original owners manual, warranty book and sales paperwork, even the salesmans card, and the line setting ticket.  There was some rust in this vehicle when I got it.  The right front fender behind wheel, and the quarter panels in front of the wheels had rust holes where debris builds up.  I cut out the rust and put new metal in.  The rocker panels, and body mounts are all solid. I did not have to work on thoes areas.  The interior floor is in good shape also.  The bed is solid but a little rough.  I groung down surface rust and patched three small holes.   This scout is very solid but no beauty queen.  I think it looks good and works well for my purposes.  The paint is not great, I just wanted something I would not worry about scratching up on the trails.  I included a photo of a serious front bumper, and you are welcome to it if you like.  I was going to make up a simple rear bumper as the chrome one was beat up.  The lights and signals all work. The glass is all in good shape.  This is a simple and solid scout that does well off road and on the highway.  The number of miles is unknown. Thanks for looking.
