Hi folks and thanks for looking at the next
Jeep I have up for auction. This is a
2000 Jeep wrangler Sport. It has many options to include: 6cyl, Automatic, Air,
Cruise, AM/FM/CD with sound bar, Soft top, Half doors, factory aluminum wheels.
As you can see in the pictures, this Wrangler has been involved in an accident.
The damage is to the right rear. Tailgate has no damage and opens and shuts.
The passengers door looks good, but will not open. The rear axle housing was bent
in the accident, but I replaced it with one from a donor Jeep with same gear
ratio and similar miles. Rear axle assembly also has new gear oil. The Jeep
does run and lot drives fine, 4X4 work, and transmission shifts good. There
does not appear to be any frame damage. As for repairs the Jeep will need, the passengers
side will need to be replaced. Another option is a tub replacement. I have
completed 5 other tub replacements over the years. It is not as hard to do as
it sounds. The rest of the Jeep looks good with the typical scratches for the
age of the Wrangler. It has the paint flaking off the door mirrors which is
typical for factory mirrors. There is a scratch on the hood and left front
fender. (see pictures) The tires don’t have much life left in them. The top overall is ok. It has a few small
tears which I also have pictures of. The windshield is chip free and the soft
top windows are in good shape. Overall, with some work, this Wrangler could be
back on the road and you will have cash left in your pocket from doing the
repairs.
Because of the above listed damage, this
Jeep has an Iowa
Salvage (re-buildable) title. This is a repairable title here in Iowa and most other
states.
I think that covers it. As always, if you
have any questions, e-mail me or you can give me a call at 515-201-8855. Thanks
again for looking and good luck bidding!!!
