BRAND NEW PRODUCT!!! BILLET ALUMINUM STACKABLE JET PUMP WEDGE!!! Fits 1986 thru 1996 Billet 2 Degree Wedge can be stacked for compound drop angles!!!
Here we are proud to introduce a brand new product to the personal watercraft performance market, a billet/stackable jet pump wedge for a Kawasaki Jet Ski. Manufactured by JET RACE ENGINEERING (JRE), makers of some of the best watercraft parts on the market. This high quality component will add performance to every Jet Ski using a Kawasaki 650, 750 or 800 jet pump (Models retaining a trim feature may require slight modification).
A pump wedge gets installed between the pump vane guide case and the reduction nozzle, and can be set-up to either aim the reduction/steering nozzle assembly up or down. The benefits of both applications are as follows:
- Aiming the nozzle down - Directing the nozzle assembly down helps to plant the bow more positively. This keeps the ski’s nose down (Assists in eliminating porpoising) and is excellent for improving off-the-line hookup as well as improves turning. - Aiming the nozzle up - Directing the nozzle assembly up gives huge gains for freestyle and surf riding. When a rider is utilizing an ocean wave or a boat’s wake like a ramp, a nozzle assembly aimed up pushes the ski into the air in a more natural curve. The effort required to physically pull the machine into barrel rolls or huge back flips is dramatically reduced. The ski will no longer try to power through the wave, it will accelerate with it along the same radius. Aiming the nozzle assembly up will also help to clear performance ride plates, as well as prevent damage in case your kids like to run your Jet Ski up onto the beach.
Past examples of pump wedges were all just simple castings, prone to warping and were not nearly precise enough to stack. All JRE pump wedges are precision machined from pure Alcoa 6061 aluminum in 2 degree increments, so having more than one and stacking them can provide drop angles of 4 degrees, 6 degrees, etc.
Now for the important tech stuff!!! This billet wedge actually has an machined groove on one side, with a flange on the other. These interlock with the factory flange of the reduction nozzle, and the groove of the pump case. This precision feature takes the torsional load off the fasteners and assures perfect alignment when stacking the wedges!!
Unit proudly displays a very cool Jet Race Engineering logo machined across the flange and comes coated in silver “Hardcoat” anodizing. Hardcoating provides excellent wear resistance and increased corrosion protection from salt water. As you can see in the pictures, there has never been a wedge product even remotely close to the quality and/or attention to detail that this JRE unit has. A pump wedge can easily be installed without removing the pump from the hull 99% of the time, and is an excellent bang-for-buck way to add some extra performance to your ski. Item also includes a vinyl decal and a full set of install instructions. So if you want some easy extra performance, you better GRAB ONE!!!
