1993 Lotus Esprit SE/S4

I bought this car 4 years ago on eBay. The previous owner had it as a hobby car and was driven only 12,000 miles and kept in a heated garage. I purchased it and I was using it as a daily driver around town until 2.5 years ago. I am selling because I have driven a motorcycle for 30 years (BMW R100 for most of the time) and the Lotus was supposed to be the substitute. It is not and I have gone back to driving a motorcycle and now only drive the car a few times a month. I did a 1600 mile road trip to Indianapolis 2 months ago. The cars performance was flawless the whole trip.
The car is in great condition. It is a 1993.5 transition model and as such is a SE/S4 hybrid with features of both models such as the larger S4 cabin but not the high mounted spoiler (Recently, there has been a lot of misinformation about specs and model types. A great site to get info is http://www.lotusespritworld.com/). I had the car shipped directly to a Lotus dealer after buying it and they went over it with a fine tooth comb and replaced the timing belt and all fluids. They were surprised at the great condition. Come summer the air did not work well and the accumulator was replaced. The clutch slave was leaking a little and was replaced at the same time. Due to the age of the tires, they were replaced (about 2600 miles ago) and the shop noticed the tie rods were slightly bent, probably from improper tie-down during shipping, so I had them replaced at the same time. I have most of the cars repair history with receipts. The car went to the Lotus dealer every year for a check up and a minor service.
Repairs/enhancements not listed above: K&N air filter, #5 Chip installed about 2400 mi ago (have original code as well), Replaced interior light modulator, Replaced gears in headlight lift, Front window replaced, A few dings repainted, Horns replaced with a twin electric, Clutch hose replaced with SS hose, Fuel tank vent hose replaced. There are only minor Problems: Light switch on the passenger door is broken, The headliner on the removable top is coming loose at one corner, Minor paint chip on edge of driver door (pictured), Lost 1 central wheel hub and the Lotus logo on another.
This is a great car and that is running perfectly. The car is being sold as is without warranty. The wining bidder will deposit $1000 using Paypal within 24 hours of the auctions close with the remaining balance due within 7 days by certified check unless otherwise agreed prior to bidding.
