Hard to find M105A2 military 1 1/2 ton cargo trailers with side rails. Have a few - you can choose the one you want (all are the same for the most part). No rot on any of them, and minor surface rust on all of them from being out in the elements for a few months. Could definately use a good cleaning and a coat of paint, but that is only cosmetic.
Aside from some minor scrapes and dings here and there that you can see in the pictures, they are fully functional and ready to work for you immediately.
Trailer is all original with no modifications. Brakes work great and all lights work. Trailer has the added rear post landing leg. Front, Rear and Side Rails are all included.
Side Rails are the new style and made with Aluminum uprights and Fiberglass cross members.

Manufacturers Description for the M-105 1 1/2 ton 2-Wheel Cargo Trailer (G-754)
The M105 trailers are based on the M103 Chassis, Trailer, 1 1/2 ton. The M105A2 trailers are constructed of steel and wood.
Manual; The part number for the original manual for the M105 cargo trailer is TM 9-8226 (April 1955) which covers all the 1 1/2 ton two wheel trailers of the time. TM 9-8226 was replaced by TM 9-2330-213-14.
This trailer is set up to hold the bows and cover, however it does not come with either. Trailer comes ready to use with everything pictured.
I believe this was manufactured in the early to mid-1980's, but I'm not 100% on that.
You are welcome to come by and look at it before purchasing if you are local to us (San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675), and if you can't do a local pick-up, we can put this on a truck to you to anywhere in the lower 48 for about $1.25 to $1.50 per mile depending on where you live (cheaper for longer distances) - shipping arranged by Buyer and shipping paid for by Buyer.
The M-105 1 1/2 ton 2-Wheel Cargo Trailer (G-754) was developed in tandem with the M-series of cargo trucks that were fielded in the 1950's to replace the World War II vintage vehicles. The M105 trailers were equipped with 9:00x20 tires to match the M211 2 1/2 ton truck and other cargo trucks. With the same tires, the combination truck and trailer would ride at the same height.
Full specs are below. Just note that the ton and a half cargo rating of the M105 was for off-road performance. On highway, the M105 trailer would carry up to 5,500 pounds. The construction of the M105 trailers allowed it to be completely submerged when fording. It is equipped with air over hydraulic brakes and a mechanical hand brake for each wheel (2 for this trailer). Note that you will need to provide your own air lines if you want to use the air brakes (8-foot standard air lines, one per side).
Comes with a pintle hook, so you will need to either bolt/weld your own ball coupler on the trailer if you don't have a pintle hitch, or better yet just purchase a pintle receiver for your hitch (around $59.95 to $99.95 for a 2 inch).
Receivers are available online and at most trailer/hitch shops (Northern Tool, Grainger, Hitch World, etc.) - they look like this;

NOTE ON HITCH; If you don't have access to a pintle receiver, you are more than welcome to purchase one of mine for what I paid for it - $70 including shipping will cover my cost (still new in the box). Just let me know and I can get another one later.

What do they look like when painted?
For roughly $20 per gallon at your local Home Improvement Store, you can pick up a decent exterior paint and make these look almost brand new. Will Take a little sanding and Prep, but you can roll it on or even brush it on. If you have a Wagner sprayer, it's a 4 hour job! Here's what we have done to some of them for past clients;

1) We do not have these trailers advertised anywhere else, so you have our word that we will not cancel this auction early to sell it for an offer outside of eBay. With Best Offer, the highest offer will take this trailer, no exceptions.
2) Trailer is Considered Demilitarized Surplus (Class Q). Cannot be shipped outside of the USA. Not for sale to non US Citizens, no exceptions (Government rules, not ours, sorry).
3) Trailer is sold as is. Everything is in working order.
4) Trailer does not come with a title. We will provide a Bill of Sale upon payment, a Paid In Full invoice through eBay and a completed and signed CA DMV Bill of Sale/Release of Liability. With these you will be able to title this trailer in any State at your local DMV - although you will need to bring it in for the DMV to perform an inspection and to record the VIN prior to applying for a title.
5) Trailer lights run on 24 volts - if you plan to pick it up with a 12 volt vehicle, let me know before you come and we will provide you with a set of 12 volt lights (4-pin connector) at no charge.
