This 1972 MGB Roadster is such a fun little car!! It is Harvest Gold in color with black interior. It had a frame off restoration completed in October of 1988 and I have all the records for the restoration. This car is 37 years old and is not in perfect condition but it runs great! It wouldn't take much work to get this old girl back into top shape again!

The bad--she will need a new battery and the windshield is cracked but still useable, the radio (an aftermarket brand) works sometimes but not all the time, the air dam needs to be repainted or can be removed, and the speedometer does not work. The wheels need to be repainted and there is one spot on the metal that is bubbled but no rust has come through so it is a paint prep problem. There are two stress cracks on one of the fiberglass fenders
(driver side) but they are very minor and easily fixed also. There is a faint crease on the passenger door on the bottom half. The only rust that I have seen are in a couple of stress cracks on the door skin under the wing mirror post and by the driver's door handle. They are common with this car and easily fixed. They are very minor and I will send pix of this if you wish to see it.

No, it is not perfect but it is in fixable shape and would take very little effort to get it in top shape.
 

The good--it has a brand new top and the tires have less than 200 miles on them. There are some extra parts that will go with her if you want them. She has a great sound and purrs like a kitten. The following performance modifications were made during the restoration: Weber carb, race suspension, electronic ignition, stainless steel oil lines, performance Monet exhaust system, stainless steel exhaust headers, high energy performance distributor parts, plugs and wires. The engine number is 18V584Z-L16126. Patent # on top of head is 65394. It has an MG aluminum valve cover, performance vacuum advance and is stamped 1800cc. There are no electrical problems and all the gauges, except the speedometer, work. It does leak a little oil but not much. The oil pressure is good, 75 lbs. at normal operating temperature. Compression is 175 PSI. The transmission and clutch are in excellent condition. The windshield washer does not work, but the windshield wipers are in good shape and work fine. It has road course racing mirrors on the outside. It sounds great and runs great too. The upholstery is factory upholstery that was replaced when the restoration was done. There is a tonneau cover and bars and also a top boot cover. There is also a car cover for it.


It is so much fun to drive and I hate to give her up but I need to downsize. I have too much stuff and so my loss is your gain. This car retails from $5450 to $22700 depending on condition and my reserve is less than the lowest retail!!
