Time to sell my toy...   :(

This is an extraordinary 1983 Mazda RX-7 GSL.  As you can see by the pictures, it is in very good shape.  I will endeavor to describe to you what you cannot tell from a mere picture. 

Most importantly, this car is extremely fun to drive.  It sits so low on the road that you feel as if you could slide through traffic easily by simply going under everyone else.  It accelerates smoothly, shifts smoothly and purrs all the way up into the high revs (where it's most comfortable).

This car fires right up, hot or cold, and runs very well.  It sports power windows and even heated seats that work very well.

Here are a list of features for this car:

  • CD Player (all four speakers are good)
  • Newly replaced door panels
  • After-market steering wheel
  • Newly replaced windshield
  • Newly replaced hi-end battery (with 5 years remaining warranty)
  • Leather heated seats
  • Power Windows
  • Rear Defrost
  • Fully functional heater
  • All lights functional
  • Original Aluminum Rims
  • Fully removable moon roof that does not leak
  • Newly replaced weather stripping for both the driver and passenger doors

Here are the features that are not fully functional for this car:

  • Air Conditioner.  Its there but it needs to be charged or changed over to R134
  • Windshield wipers work but the switch on the steering column does not (so I installed a toggle switch in order to operate them
  • Power antenna.  The motor runs for the antenna but it does not go up or down

As you may or may not see from the pictures, there is a bit of damage to the front bumper on the left side (if you're facing the car) as well as a ding in the front passenger side fender.  Not to fear though, I have the replacements body parts, just never put them or painted them (they are pictured).  Also, I have a replacement MAZDA emblem for the front or back of the car, extra door panels (the originals) and a neat "Story of the RX-7" book.  All come with the purchase of the car.

It has 203k miles on the Odometer and I am not the first owner.  The engine seals are most likely original as it does have a fairly steady oil drip however at a low pace (I only have to put oil in it every about month and half > this rotary engine burns oil anyway because it runs at a much higher temperature than cylinder/piston engines).

This car passed the Colorado emissions test about 6 months ago.

I can't warranty this vehicle since I'm just a regular guy, not a mechanic or a dealer and so please consider the sale of the vehicle to be final, without warranty or return/refunds.  I will entertain any question you may have via email and I would encourage and welcome a visit from your mechanic prior to you winning this car.  Just to be clear, the title is clear and I have it in my possession, titled in my name. 

I am sad to see this go but it was kind-of a mid life crisis buy anyway.  There are many of these cars still on the road...not many that look this nice.
