Up for your consideration is my 1982 Mercedes Benz 240d. Its 4 cylinder diesel engine with a 4 speed manual gearbox. I am the third owner of the car.  The first owners were an older couple, the second owner was an old timer although still current Master Mercedes Benz mechanic, and now myself a current Master Mercedes Benz mechanic. As you would assume the car has been well taken care of, and everything operates as it should.  You may have noticed this car listed previously by my friend. With much confusion and lack of quality in-depth pictures the earlier aucitons were either canceled or did not reach my reserve. Now I have listed the car myself and with many more pictures that everyone has been asking for.  All regular tune ups have been performed on or before they were due, by myself. Such as oil and filter changes every 3 months. Both fuel filters change twice a year. Valve adjustments once a year with a new valve cover gasket each and every time. New front wheel bearings and races, and front pads were installed. New thermostat and both radiator hoses were replaced. Thermostat was not replaced for an overheating issue, but for the fact it wasnt allowing the engine to run at operating temp. (somewhat stuck open). Complete brake fluid flushes have been done. Replaced rear brake pads and rotors. All three engine belts recently replaced. Also new front shocks. Rebuilt a/c compressor with new reciver drier and system converted to r134a. Resealed rear diff and new axle boots. New shift linkage bushings. Many other parts have been replaced or refurbished. New front windshield and gasket, newer rear windshield gasket. Good New Jersey State inspection until 4/2010. Just to much to list. Ice cold a/c,and very hot heat. Block heater works great for the times I couldn't keep it garaged, even though that wasnt often. The car has surface rust in the usual locations, such as front bumper,rear bumper, and along the rear of the chrome strips at the bottom of the doors. The front seats are covered with factory benz sheep skin covers, you can see the benz logo on the underside of each backrest cover. See pictures that all seats are in mint condition,no tears at all. Car is in overall great shape for its age. I have the right to end the auction early as car is for sale locally. Bid early and often.
