Up for sale is a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300 SD Turbo Diesel. Although still in good shape this car needs a little TLC. It starts right up and drives very nice without pulling to the side or any sort of shaking which is very surprising for a car this age. The transmission shifts through all the gears ok but sometimes when it's not warmed up it feels like it slips. I am not a mechanic so I don't know if that is normal for a car this age or if there is something wrong with the transmission. The exterior looks strong but there were some bad attempts from previous owner at some body repairs. You can see the pics where a few areas on the drivers side was spray painted(with very bad match) There are also a few areas that rust is starting to come through.

Here is a list of items that need to be repaired on the car.

-The hood does not stay completely shut. It only clicks in through first stage.

-The Drivers side seat control buttons are missing...I have a used switch that I purchased separately that I can give with the car.

-Some of the windows do not work. Don't remember which ones.

-The parking brake does not work...Don't know what's wrong with it. The main brakes on the car work just fine.

This car has about 453,000 miles on it and it's still going strong. With gas prices starting to rise again it would be a great opportunity for someone to put a little time in it and have a great gas saver. These things can also be converted to run on vegetable oil.

I am selling this car with no reserve so the winning bidder takes the car. I require a $250.00 down payment within 48 hours of auction end and car must be picked up within 7 days with remainder of balance to be paid on pickup.
