123 wagon with a 351 and a C-4 ?? Here we have a very nice 81, 123- 300td "sleeper" wagon up for sale. The odometer shows 411k miles, But after talking to the previous owner (who said the gauges were swapped out) and viewing online car history , i am led to believe the mileage is under 100k. First to drive it will agree!! It was purchased new in San Fransisco, Ca and has been on the west-coast ever since. This car has never seen salt or snow and is in great rust-free shape. It doesn't have any rattles or shakes and it drives nice and straight. The conversion was done in 2008 and was done very well. The frame on this car is not hacked up and No it has not been in any major accidents. The engine is a 1976 351-windsor , msd electronic ignition, Behr radiator, edlebrock high-rise manifold, Holley 4 barrel carburetor. The transmission is a c-4 (ford tranny) that shifts smooth and works great with the stock mb automatic floor shifter. The rear end was rebuilt at the same time as the rest of the build in 2008. It came out of a 560 mb and has 2:56 gears. I just had the car serviced (oil, filter, air-filter) and inspected it on the lift. The undercarriage of this car is spotless. The engine starts great and accelerates smoothly. Under hard acceleration it seems to have a little hesitation. Not sure if the holley needs to be tuned or if it had a bit of bad gas in it (the car sat for a year before i purchased it). It does not smoke or have any lifters making noise. It purrs at an idle. This car was built to be a driver and what a nice driver it is. The interior is a 9 out of 10 with no major rips or tears. Small cracks on dash and the carpets are nice with original floor-mats. All gauges are original and work properly. This car has no electrical bugs with all lights and windows working as they should. The outside is in great shape overall with only one small ding on the right rear (2") The only damage ever done was the to the front valance and at that time they painted the front of the car to remove rock-chips and small imperfections on the front-end. The paint matches very well and all work was done right. The only issues the car has are minor. First the antenna is not going down , second is the rear hatch needs supports. The car also could use new front brake pads( i am going to try and do them this week). Tires are 60-70% and it is a clear Oregon title. It shows 411k but this car has been completely gone through and it is obvious that this car has always been taken care of.(garaged etc.) The car is located in Buckley Washington (state) and comes with a 3-day dot trip permit. This car has no defects and is in great overall shape. I will consider trades on nice rust free (issue free) conversion vans and motor-homes.
