Up for auction is for a complete 1970 Mopar 440 HP six pack motor for manual transmission cars. This engine has undergone a complete professional rebuild with block and internal parts magnafluxed by local hot rod shop. This motor has a balanced rotating assembly as original, including the rebuilt original 10.5" flywheel w/bolts and 6 pack harmonic balancer, which are included with the motor. It was rebuilt with the intent to install in a 70 Plymouth GTX six pack car. Prior to getting the motor done ready to install the car was sold out from under me. Therefore, this great motor is available to the highest bidder. Block casting date is: 11-10-69, late 1970 motor, machined top ID pad info is: F 440  5 1  HP2 sideways "C". The oil pan vin stamp appears to be OG3xxxxx several of the stamped numbers are hard to determine.

Particulars of the engine rebuild are: Magnafluxed and completely rebuilt factory 906 heads with Manley 2.14" & 1.81" oversize stainless valves and hardened valve seats, New MP high lift springs (.600") and keepers, a 3 angle valve grind. Diamond light weight forged flat top street/strip pistons with valve reliefs (4.350" bore, 1.094" wrist pin dia., Effective volume = - 4.0cc) and file to fit rings. Factory forged crankshaft ground .010/.010" under on mains and rods. New federal mogul bearings in mains, rods and cam. Connecting rods are factory forged six pack rods #908 reconditioned, magnafluxed with ARP bolts and resized. New Mopar Performance purple shaft 6 pack, 3 bolt cam, Dur .050, int.(268) exh.(284), lift int.(.450) exh.(.458), centerline 115, this is the same grind as original, a great streetable cam. New Crane aluminum roller rockers & push rods. New Cloyes double roller timing chain and gears set. New Carter High volume fuel pump, 6-7 psi (120 gph). New Melling oil pump and I primed the motor to check oil pressure and oiling, everything looks great 60psi. Correct new six pack oil pan with windage tray. Factory cast iron intake with manual carbs (front list 4382 , center list 4375 , rear list 4383). The linkage, gas lines and choke assy are also included. Correct cast iron water pump housing with New water pump. The valve covers were completely cleaned, repainted and have all the wire holders intact. I also installed all new grommets with the N95 breather and the filler cap and included the (original type) PCV valve. Correct hard to find original dual point distributor with hold down and bolt, this distributor was also professionally rebuilt.

NOTE: You will need to buy 10W30 oil, filter and a break-in additive (ZDDPlus or Comp Cam) before you run the motor, for proper break-in, you will also need the type of plugs and wires you like to run (RJ10YC) were original. You will need to provide the front dress for the motor; pulles, fan, alternator for you type of car, these are car specific items(ie: non-air or air conditioning car ), every car out there is a little bit different, this is were you personalize the motor to your car the way you like it to look.

Motor is also for sale locally and auction may be stopped earlier than date listed.

Note: exhaust manifolds & air cleaner are also available, but not included.  Sold as is simply because it is used. I try my very best to describe as accurately as possible. Be sure to check out all pics and call Terry @ 586-817-5744 or email (my70gtx@comcast.net) with any questions you may have before you bid.
