Mr. Gasket's "Ultra-Seal" gasket material is manufactured from high temperature steel core/graphite faced material. The expanded steel core provides stability and helps eliminate gasket failure by having excellent torque retention. The graphite facing provides superior heat resistance and helps to transfer heat away from the cylinder head.
