Full details:
Up for sale is my gorgeous black, gold and carbon fiber 2005 Buell XB12R. Just 987 super-low miles from new, and in beautiful mechanical and cosmetic condition. This Buell was built the way it should have come from the factory! Circa $8,000 has been spent on this bike on top of it's original purchase price. <$4,000 in parts, and >$3,500+++ in Buell-HD factory-trained labor. I have an itemized list of all the new parts and labor bills, and a complete bike history folder, together with many of the original parts take offs (please see photos), which will go with the bike to its new owner. These could be retrofitted for passenger use (for example), or sold to offset this auction purchase price - it's up to you. This one of a kind Buell XB12R is absolutely drop dead gorgeous, beautiful to look at AND to ride. The sound is AWESOME. Needless to say she has never been layed down or in an accident.
This super low-mileage (837 miles) bike was specifically tracked down and bought in 2007 as an unmessed with original factory model, to be transformed into a fast road/race project by a veteran 48 year old rider, with ambitions to ride/race it on local tracks. It was therefore upgraded over several months with the best race and ergonomic performance upgrades available, money no object. After the Buell-HD technician prep completion and dyno work it was taken to the track for classroom style sessions just once, before realization set in that fast track day/race riding wasn't quite going to work out, so subsequent track days never happened. It was ridden for just over a hundred miles, and then stored in the garage with the rest of the bike collection. The oil/filter/plugs have just been changed and the battery replaced, and she is now champing at the bit, ready for a new home.

~ New MS-100 Electronic Quick Shifter for clutchless upshifts - cost $400 + fitting. Flip a switch for clutchless shifting. (Please note: currently set up for track days - blinkers disconnected, horn removed and the manual clutch has been set up for 'grand prix' shifting (as per the old Triumphs and Nortons etc) - up for first gear, then down. This vastly improves the tranny shifting performance and acceleration, and is much more logical if you think about it - this mod can be easily reversed if required to stock, by simply reversing the shifter knuckle).
~ New carbon fiber tank/air box cover kit + fitting.
~ New carbon fiber oil cooler cover + fitting.
~ New carbon fiber air intake scoop + fitting.
~ New custom trick LED high visibility rear light + fitting. Imported from a source in Germany.
~ New Buell removable analog tachometer + fitting.
~ New battery tender fitting.
~ New battery.
~ New oil.
~ New filter.
~ New plugs.
Everything was professionally installed by Eastside Harley Davidson in Bellevue, in Washington State. Well over $3,500 +++ (see receipt photos) was spent just in labor to have everything fitted and dialed inperfectly. The history file contains all receipts and manuals for circa <$4,000 of parts (see photos). The almost new Michelin Pilots are in great condition. Many stock take off parts come with the bike as well as all the receipts, boxes and tools/manuals. I am a long time motorcycle enthusiast and owned one of the first Buells back in the day, number 49 with the tag plate BUELL HD. This bike is just as special! All my bikes are built to the highest standards, and this one is no exception. This gorgeous 24k Gold Buell runs as good as it looks! Super fun to ride with this monster torque motor! The pictures and video do not do it justice, but do give some idea of how mint this bike really is.
This is a private sale. $15,000+++ has been invested in this bike and I have priced this to sell with NO RESERVE. I am starting the bidding at a lo-ball $5,000, just over the approximate cost of all the new parts alone (not including labor). Should the bike sell at or around this figure, essentially you are getting the bike for free! With all the labor/upgrades, easily $15,000 +++ has been invested in this bike, so please bid with confidence!
I require a $500 deposit by paypal instant transfer within 24 hours of the winning bid, and the balance to be paid within 3 days, preferably by bank wire transfer. Zero feedback bidders please emai me before bidding as I reserve the right to cancel your bid. I will be happy to assist with shipping, and can recommend the Gold Wing Owner's Club shipping company (based in Los Angeles), who are very reasonably priced and will take great care of you and this bike.
Please also note - I do have this bike listed elsewhere, and do reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells prior to this auction end.
