Here's a NOS original Mopar Gearshift Knob - made of neutral mottled plastic, #957459  
This was factory original equipment on a few different models - (minus the chrome ferrule).
 It will fit any 1940-1941-1942-1946-1947-1948 column shift Mopar - 6 & 8-cyl models 

Dodge - Desoto - Chrysler - Town & Country - Imperial
