One NEW "in the box" AC Delco #1114416 solenoid. I was not able to research the part number and do not have a clue to original application. That said...I have had Ford buyers tell me it is the same as the Ford overdrive solenoid except it has a round ball on the shaft end where the Ford has a round ball with a flat spot on the ball. Buyers tell me it is a small job to file the ball to fit a Ford.

It is also different in price. Buyers tell me if you could find a NOS Ford solenoid it would be in the $250-$300 range.

The mounting hole center is 3 1/8". Compressed shaft length is 1 1/8". Extended shaft length is 1 1/2". Without voltage the shaft is compressed. Voltage makes it expand so it is a "pusher" type solenoid. It has a single electrical terminal on the end.

The item weight makes the $11.00 USPS "flat rate" box the best value. There will be no additional postage charge for additional items.

Again..this item requires minor modification to fit a Ford. If the hot rod spirit in you is alive and well give it a try. If you want something to just "plug and play" I would recommend you spend the big bucks and find a genuine Ford unit.

What one buyer had to say....".i am very happy with the solenoid, but i think you could get much more for them. this solenoid is for gm overdrive transmissions, ford used the same overdrive unit, as did other auto companies. a ford solenoid sells for 200 - 300 on ebay, the only difference is the ball on the end of yours needs to be filed flat on 2 sides, an easy modification. if you have more, i would list as ford overdrive, and explain the difference, I think people would pay way more than you are asking.  Thanks and good luck.
