One NEW "in the box" AC Delco #1114416 12 volt solenoid. I was not able to research the part number and do not have a clue to original application. That said...overdrive experts tell me it is the same as the GM overdrive solenoid except it has a round ball on the shaft end where the GM has a round ball with a flat spot on the ball. Buyers tell me it is a small job to file the ball..it is just important to file the flats indexed to the mounting holes.

It is also different in price. Buyers tell me if you could find a  NOS GM solenoid it would be in the $250-$300 range.

The mounting hole center is 3 1/8". Compressed shaft length is 1 1/8". Extended shaft length is 1 1/2". Without voltage the shaft is compressed. Voltage makes it expand so it is a "pusher" type solenoid. It has a single electrical terminal on the end.

The item weight makes the $11.00 USPS "flat rate" box the best value. There will be no additional postage charge for additional items.

Again..this item may require minor modification to fit a Chevy. If the hot rod spirit in you is alive and well give it a try. If you want something to just "plug and play" I would recommend you spend the big bucks and find a genuine GM unit.

What one buyer had to say....".i am very happy with the solenoid, but i think you could get much more for them. this solenoid is for gm overdrive transmissions, ford used the same overdrive unit, as did other auto companies. a ford solenoid sells for 200 - 300 on ebay, the only difference is the ball on the end of yours needs to be filed flat on 2 sides, an easy modification. if you have more, i would list as for overdrive, and explain the difference, I think people would pay way more than you are asking.  Thanks and good luck."
