Made by Reese (The trailer experts) and new in the package with the simple installation directions. (Reese catalog part #83501) This is the top end model with the Thumb Wheel Sync control, manual control and with an output indicator light (increases brighter with pressure) all built in to this very compact unit. Completely compatible with all anti-lock braking systems. Measures 3" wide and only 5-1/4" long and 1" thick. All solid state circuitry, 12-volt negative ground and designed for single or double axle electric (4) brake systems. Included is the Brake control unit, under dash mounting bracket, mounting screws, instructions and a wire tap connector. This controller can be mounted in any position (no leveling required) and is all solid state electronic (no moving parts) and requires NO brake line plumbing or brake line connection at all. You will have to provide the wiring to your trailer, unless your pickup was ordered with a trailer towing package and if it is, most likely this will be a very simple installation with under dash harness furnished by the truck manufacturer. 4 wires out the back. 1: Black wire 12-volt supply power source. 2: White Ground wire. 3: Red Wire to attach to your brake light wire so it sees power when the brake pedal is depressed. 4: Blue is the wire that sends power to the trailer brake wire. Save some dollars over your normal U-Haul or trailer supply wholesaler. Very handy with this quick manual control button on the front to get that wayward trailer back in line if it's gets to wiggling back there.
