1972 Norton Commando Combat

Vehicle Description

This is a rare '72 Norton 750 Combat model that's on consignment at our shop, Relic Cycles, near Houston, TX. We are selling this bike for the current owner who has owned the bike since 1999. Bike is in excellent condition and has had a recent service at our shop. Frame, engine and transmission numbers match. This is the Combat model which has the high compression engine with larger 32mm AMAL carburettors and fiberglass gas tank and side covers. This bike runs noticeably stronger than a standard Commando but is still very smooth. The fiberglass gas tank has been coated inside with Hirsh Sealer which is specifically made for fiberglass and protects the tank from damage from modern alcohol additives in gasoline. Some upgrades to the bike are a Mk. 3 type kickstart lever for better leverage, two additional swingarm spindle supports, a remote swingarm spindle oiler bottle and a new sealed battery. This bike is very original and still has all the Lucas electrics including the points and everything works, even the warning light assimilator. Only issues with the bike are that the front tire has some cracking and should be changed, also the front rim has a little rust on it. Bike comes with clear Texas title in owners name. NO SALES OUTSIDE OF USA. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping but I will assist if I can. I can deliver the bike within 200 miles of Houston for a fee.
