Your mechanic may also call it Electronic Fan clutch a Cooling Fan Speed Sensor or Electro-Viscous (EV) Fan Clutch. These terms are describing all the same part.

The fan clutch on the models above is known for high failure rates mostly due to the forces exerted on the wire attachment during the start up of the fan. The fan clutch normally needs to be replaced when the following error codes show P0495, P1481, P1482, P1484. Excessive fan noise is normally also a factor as is increased engine temperature and lower AC performance.

The fan clutches we are selling are made in the US by Behr, the OEM supplier for these clutches to GM. The clutches are the latest engineering version and are the same you can buy at the dealer for about $380. There are several other brands of clutches out there which are manufactured in Korea. While the quality of the Korean clutches is good, they are not set to the same specs decreasing fuel efficiency and increasing noise. You can find the Korean copies for about the same price we are offering the real thing for. The manufacturers of the European copies literally copied the older versions with all it flaws and shortcomings. Why not stay with a brand that car owners and manufacturers have trusted for decades.

Our clutch replaces the following brands and part numbers:

The clutch is the latest revision, part number 25790869.

The repair can normally be done by everyone with some mechanical aptitude. Autozone rents out the fan clutch removal wrench that can aid in the repair. Shipping:

We will charge a flat $10.00 for Ground shipping inside the continental US. We offer free Ground Shipping to anywhere in the continental US on the purchase of 5 (five) pieces or more of this fan clutch. Shipping to Canada and Mexico is extra. Please inquire before making the purchase as the buyer will have to cover all shipping related costs, including customs brokerage fees. UPS may assess a brokerage fee for shipments crossing the border as ground shipment. This fee will have to be paid to the UPS delivery driver. Please contact UPS to inquire about these fees.
We will make any effort to ship the item the day payment is received, but it could ship the following day (in case of check or money order payment we will hold the product until payment has cleared the bank).

Limited Warranty:

As to all other products, PROMOTRIZ INT. warrants that nonelectric/nonelectronic products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six months from the date of sale to the original consumer purchaser.

PROMOTRIZ warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at its option, of products found to be defective within the applicable warranty period set forth above, provided however that the warranty shall not apply if:

a) the product has been subject to abuse, neglect or improper installation, servicing or use;
b) the serial number has been defaced or changed; or
c) product failure is due to the failure of other parts in the same vehicle not sold by PROMOTRIZ or no longer covered by warranty.

The above warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will PROMOTRIZ be liable for the cost of labor in removing or reinstalling the product, personal injury or property damage, loss of use or revenue, or other incidental or consequential damages.

Payment is due within five days of the close of the auction. We accept PayPal, Major Credit Cards through Paypal or via a signed signed Credit Card Authorization form, checks (personal and cashiers checks) and money orders (Due to the increasing fraud with money orders and checks we do not ship until the payment has been processed by our bank.
