This auction is for a pair of drum to disc brake conversion brackets which will easily convert your 1940-56 full size Oldsmobile to front disc brakes. These pieces are laser cut from 1/4" cold rolled steel for excellent tolerance control, and professionally welded and machined for proper clearance. No machine work whatsoever is required on your spindle; it does not even need to be removed! This conversion uses the following components:
1996 GM 1/2 ton pickup rotors
1969-78 Cadillac Eldorado calipers and pads
Also, this setup ditches your ball bearings more robust tapered roller bearings. Some of our customers have used the existing single chamber master cylinder with good effect. We do not know if it will fit inside the stock rims, but it is doubtful. Note: this auction is for a pair of brackets and install info only, though we can sell a complete lower kit. If you desire install info, email me direct at m@scarebird.com with this request. Do not use Ebay's mail as we cannot send attached documents...BThe rotors come with 14mm studs, though these can be pressed out and SAE 1/2 studs pressed irackets are zinc plated gold for longevity and beauty.
