This is a 2 owner 70 olds 442 4 speed 455 engine, Power steering, power brakes. I purchased the car 7 years ago from the original owner, it ran ok but it was tired and the paint was faded. That is how it started and I have not stopped restoring it since. It was restored but not taken off the frame, WHY? because I believe a muscle car is built to Drive and not sit on a trailer. All though just about everything underneath is new, complete front and rear suspension exhaust and brakes. The engine Block is not numbers matching and I am not sure why. I never knew this until I started researching the numbers and it has never really bothered me since the car runs so good. I have tried to find the original owner several times and come up empty handed each time. The engine is a complete stock rebuild, and the only thing that is not factory is the headers. The Olds runs and drives down the road nice and straight with no rattles or squeaks. The interior is completely new with the correct black color. The body was soda blasted to remove the old lacquer paint. Then primed with epoxy primer and blocked several times. The car was completely taken apart to paint so that there are no tape lines. The stripes are sprayed on and then the car was recleared over top to do away with the feel of the tape lines. Then wet sanded and polished. If you look at the last picture of the 442 emblem with the stripe you will see the tree and planter in the reflection. Those are about 12-15 feet away from the car, that is how deep this paint is. The car does have the M-21 4 speed, Rally gauges but the tic-toc tach is not working at this point ( common on these cars) AM/FM Stereo with front and rear speakers. I am only getting sound out of rear speaker not sure why. The only thing I am not happy with is that the Radiator core support does have some rust by the battery area (another common problem). Good news is that I have purchased a better one but it still needs to be cleaned up and installed. It does come with the car. I do have the build sheet, a copy of the original title showing 000 miles. Plus a complete binder with all the receipts and descriptions of the parts replaced along with a few pictures of the car along the way. You are welcome to ask questions or come see the car. My offer to you is this! If you are the winning bidder and you come to pick the car up (and only if you pick the car up, Not if it has been shipped) and you decide that the car is not what you think it should be. You are welcome to leave and not complete the transaction, No hard feelings but I will get to keep $200 of the non refundable deposit for my time and fees. With that being said This does not give you the option to come and try to bargain a better price. What you bid is what you Pay. I am always interested in partial trades of other Classic cars and ONLY classic cars! no Boats, trailers, trucks,or motorcycles Please Please dont ask what the reserve is or if I will end the auction early for a low bid. Just bid I will ask for a $500 deposit through paypal or certified check 48 hours after the end of the auction. $200 of this is NON REFUNDABLE The remaining balance is due within 10 days from the end of the auction. I accept cash or Certified bank check that must be cleared through my bank before the car leaves. The car is kept inside so I am willing to keep it stored for free for 30 days from the end of the auction. If you need to store it longer that is OK also. But I will ask for $50 per month that is what I pay to the owner of the garage. I am very reasonable and easy to work with just ask I am sure I missed something so please dont be upset with me if there is something small I have missed. As I always say there is no such thing as a perfect car! GOOD LUCK!!
