Relisting this one time. I dropped the price a bunch for those of you that were interested last week but it was out of your range. If it does not sell this week its no longer for sale. Thanks for looking. Well guys and girls after talking with my wife about home repairs and an additional rooms we need to add on we have decided to take a couple weeks to see if my Cutlass sells to finance the repairs. This is a very thought out Cutlass that I have spent the better part of two years building. I've enjoyed driving it all over, cruizing and taking in shows since this spring. It turns heads everywhere it goes. It drives incredible for an old car. My goal was to make the car look as if the factory built it and handle like a modern sports sedan. This is not your typical throw a set of 20" wheels and call it pro-touring car you see on EBAY. I started with a true original paint and interior bone stock 65K mile car. Just finding that was a chore in itself. It took me almost a year to find the right car. Today the car still carrys its original motor, interior, paint and trim buts thats where originality stops. Once I got the car home I tore it apart for a complete frame off custom restoration. Some of the features are: - 18 x 9 and 18 x 10 Intro custom made billet wheels with custom paint accent. I wanted the biggest wheels I could get on the car with out cutting it up. After 1/2 day of measuring I came up with the perfect combo - Toyo T1R tires 255-40-18 front with 285-40-18 rear - one of a kind front brakes started life as for a 2007 Corvette after much time spent with CNC machine and power coater they are like pieces of art behind the wheels - detailed and powder coated LS1 rear brake set up with integral parking brake. Lokar brake cables custom modified to use with the factory pedal - perfectly sized master cly to use with manual brakes, all stainless hard lines through out car and KORE3 braided hoses at all 4 corners. The brakes on the thing not only look great but stop this big boat in a hurry. - 1972 8.5 GM corporate axle with 3.73 GM gears and Eaton posi unit - Complete 5 speed conversion with a Tremec TKO600. (ready to handle a future motor with up to 600FT LBS torque) Cruise stop light to stoplight 1-4 and throw it in 5th on the highway. Its a super sweet setup. This is also the cause of the only cutting on this virgin car. The center hump had to be remade about 2" taller to clear the trans. - complete Currietrac rear suspension with aftermarket 1" rear sway bar - SPC upper front control arms with the bolt in optional Howe tall ball joints. This parts along with anything else that came gold cad plated were replated silver for a more OE look. - Bilstein Hot Rod series stocks on all 4 corners. They cost a little more but I did not want the standard yellow shocks with blue boots. They give the perfect balance of firmness without being harsh. - custom built LEE 670 series power steering box. Once you have one you will never go back - powder coated chassis, fenderwells, core support and many mis parts - original GM laquer paint color sanded and buffed Above was just a few of the big highlights. There are countless other mis new parts. For a while there UPS man was stopping every other day with another 100-200.00 box of parts Now I am a perfectionist and 95% of the rest of this no one else notices but you are considering spending a good chunk of change site unseen so I want you to know everything. The car really needs a top. I have not put one on yet because I was waiting to paint the car first. Most of the time the top was down so you did not see the problems with it. There are a few small tears but the worst is the back window is yellowed. If you want a new top in the car before you take delivery I know a guy that is very good. he quoted me $1100.00 and I can get it done at your expence. Now the paint. Everyone says I am crazy for wanting to paint this car but thats where we get back to that perfectionist thing. Being that this is the original paint on the car there are small imperfections all over. Mostly rock chips but all the top surfaces are cracked and crazed if you look up close. If you stand 5 ft or farther away it looks very nice. There is also a few thin spots in the paint but you have to really look close to find them. The only rust in the whole car is small spots at the bottom of both fenders. (see pics) The interor is very nice for what it is. The door panels, rear seat, and dash pad are near perfect. the pass seat also looks very good. There is starting to show some cracking in the driver seat and about 1 1/2" split on the upper part of the driver seat back (see pic) The only other small issue with the car is the carpet. Its still the original to the car and now that the center hump is 2" taller it does not quite reach the outer edges any more. Again its on of those things I notice but one one person has said anything about it and the car wins shows on a regular basis. The engine is the original 315 HP 330 it has been painted up but not rebuilt. I had planed on building a 455 for the car and still will if it does not sell. If you are interested in seeing more build pictures send me your email. My cell is 2I4-793-OO29 if you have any questions or want to see the car in person. I will sell to anyone in the world and will do what I can to help with shipping but all costs are on the buyer. If you are in the 48 states I would not hesitate to fly in a drive home. Car is sold AS IS WHERE IS. I have done my best to give an accurate description.
