1980 Checker Marathon that was used for the "Surge Soda" Promotions. Believe that was an energy drink that Coca Cola Co was developing at the time. They took some Checkers and painted them green for the promotion of the soda. Believe there were 29 made and they were given away as part of the promotion. They took the stickers off the cars after the promotions for liability reasons. Part of Checker history as well as promotional history as well. Most of the Surge cars were pretty rusty but this is a pretty solid one. Has a solid frame and is in relatively good shape. I have taken pictures of the exterior, interior and underneath of the car so that you can see the overall shape that it is in. If you look closely at the car, you can still see where the stickers were placed from the Surge promotion.

This is a car which you can truly believe no one else will have at the show.

The car runs and drives well. Engine is strong and starts right away. Brakes hose to right front wheel has a leak in it. Pretty easy and inexpensive fix and because of that we suggest you trailer the car home Transmission shifts well.

This is a truly unique Checker which has quite a history behind it. We have had this car in our private collection for years. For the Checker collector this is one of the most notable cars of which few exist in the good condition that this car is in. Most of them were very rusty cars, but this one is relatively solid.
