I am listing this car for a friend that does not have a computer—The car is located in Knoxville Tn. and may be in Moultrie Ga. for the swap meet and can be in Daytona for the Turkey Run Thanksgiving Week—The pictures furnished to me do not do the car justice and if you want to view the car that can be arranged by appointment or a professional evaluation can be arranged with a well know East Tn. Appraiser—I have driven this car several times and have watched it admired by young and the mature—You call be at 270.331.2740 or Dave at 865.567.0132 for additional information—This auction is a NO RESERVE auction however the car is for sale locally and may be removed if no interest is shown so bid early and responsible---Below is the owners description of the car having driven and viewed the car many times I agree with the description

This is a 1937 Packard Super 8 Touring car, 139 " wheel base, model 1502, and a real eye catcher. The car was restored in 2002 back to original condition and I have converted the car to a resto-rod in 2006 and nothing was done to the paint. The paint is a base coat, clear coat and is 7 yrs old. The original style interior is in the same condition as I purchased and I have done very little to the interior. When I re modified the car to a resto-rod, I painted the dash and garnish moldings. I had a special set of gauges from Classic Instruments made with Packard written on each gauge. The cluster mount in the dash is a very close replica of the original set of cluster mount and gauges. The polished brass on the old set has been replaced with 24 kt gold plating and the steering column is an "I did it" column and the steering wheel is a Lecarra. It has a CD player and an XM radio in the passenger side glove box. I have also replaced the headliner and the wood in the door, dash, and roof have been glued to eliminate squeaks while driving. There was little wood rot, but all has been repaired to excellent condition. The vehicle is in very good condition and the doors seal very well when closed and wind noise is minimal while driving. There is wiring under the front seat for electric windows if someone chooses to install.

Now to discuss the power plant and running gear. The running gear and engine was installed by Tommy Steadman and he is considered the best at installing and setting up the front ends with a Dakota Truck Front End. You cannot tell where it was welded together and the car drives exceptionally well, even at 90 mph. The original radiator was used with a hand made shroud with an electric fan. The front brakes are disk and the rear are 11" drum on new 9 " Ford with 3:70 gears. The rear end was ordered from John's in Michigan built to our specks. The engine is an 6.2 Chevy that has had the cam gear changed to boost HP from competition cams in Memphis. The computer was programmed to match the cam gear change. This is an all aluminum engine that has lots of horse power. It also has Sanderson headers. The engine is hooked up to a 4L65 electronic 4 speed transmission. The wire wheels are Rally-American and were made with the correct offset and sizing. The front are 16" by 7" and the rear are 16"x 8". The tires  are from Diamond Back Tire. The front are 245x16 and the rear are 275x16.

Also, the heat and air are by Vintage air. This is the new unit with electric servo which works and cools the car very well. This is the largest and most current air conditioning unit that Vintage Air produces.

The car is a driver and not a trailer queen. I feel confident that you will see the quality and workmanship in this car and that there was no expense spared in building this vehicle. I may consider a partial trade but would prefer an outright sale. Since this car has been built as a resto rod, it now has 15,000 miles on it. Note when the car was originally purchased by me it only had 64,000 original miles on it.

Good Luck Bidding!
