Be patient and dilligent and it will work right!

for the money its ok, the quality is black anodized chinese steel, if you dont abuse it , will probably last a long time! the puller jaws could be better, if you have access to mig welder, you can modify the jaws to fit into tighter openings, to pull bearings out of engines. its a dual use puller...it has 2 legs that are adjustable to spread apart, they use phillips screws to snug up, i tack welded them at the maximum distance, so they wont slip under pressure, you can always shim down to an area that way. the other purpose the puller puts central pressure to remove an outter collar also like if you need to remove a pressed in sprocket , i havent tried it for that yet! I bought it to remove my pilot bearing out of the back of my 94 toyota truck 22re engine, and it worked great with the ...

  • Top critical review

    Good for small simple jobs

The support bars keep tilting while screwing the puller. It should be made out of square or triangle bar and not the round one. If you are pulling a bearing out of your blander or something you may be fine, but don't count on it if you are trying to replace a bearing on your washing machine.

  • An inexpensive tool box addition.

The puller is good out of the box. But, made better with just a few strokes of a file to remove the rounded edges on the three jaws. I made the bottom edges have a sharper edge, so the puller can grab onto the item being pulled without slipping off. Other than that, it works great! A great addition to anyone's toolbox!

  • Works great

It works great on the application it was designed for (smaller bearing),easy to set up. It does not work too good on blind bearings, bottom shanks is too long.

  • Will not fit into a 3/4 inch opening.

It did not fit 3/4" sleeve type bearings as advertised. It would not enter a 3/4" diameter opening and that is the reason I bought it.
