1990 Pontiac Firebird (AS IS) Up for sale is an AS IS 1990 Pontiac Firebird. Before reading on please understand that this vehicle needs engine work. As a college student I am unable to take care of it at the moment and need to settle for a different car until the end of college. I had planned to keep this car but I believe it is best if I sell it because I need money for school. The body is in good condition and taking the T-tops and cruiseing the highway has an amazing feel. I have taken many pictures and will be as honest as possible in this description. This car has been taken care of for a long time. the body is nice with no "large dents" there are only a few small ones and they arn't noticable. As a final note and reminder, before bidding PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CAR WILL NEED ENGINE WORK but is quite fixable for sombody who wants a nice car or just for a collector. Discription: This car was only in production for a 1/2 of a year before the 1991 firebird was re designed with a different front and spoiler. From what i've seen it is rare to see this car or those like it in good cosmetic condition like this. It has been my goal to take care of it but due to school I am simply too tight on money to fix it at the moment so as much as I would like to keep it because it has been in my life since I was a child I now offer it too you. It's color is a dark almost crimson red but can also be seen as a burgendy. It has a 3.1 Liter V6 Cylinder engine, with an upgraded aftermarket stereo head unit with iPod cable and aux with remote control. It has flip-up headlights and fog lamps. It has T-tops with storage bag, that works very well, loced in the trunk. Has an agressive look and still turns heads. Rarely seen on the road. Pro's: I am willing to answer any and all questions you may have: - Car once had classic tags (This car can be re-listed as a classic at any time) - New upgraded stereo head unit (Sony, Aux port, iPod connectivity and cord hidden in glove box (can be moved anywhere), equalizers and excellent controls. 2008 head unit - Speakers in excellent condition. I thought I would have had to replace them for how I wanted to hear my music but the stock speakers are still amazing and have amazing quality sound. - Bought from a showroom by my Father in 1990 - Excellent cosmetic condition, rare for this car - Rare and short prduction time (great for collectors) - Agressive style - NEW TIRES - Just inspected in August - T-Tops with T-top storage bag in trunk - Good interior condition (Seats and cloth in good condition, clean and cared for) - Rear spoiler - More to see for yourself Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Cons (Any wear) 'Note (some problems are very small but I will mention all of them for honesty's sake)': Refer to the pictures to see anything major that I felt I might need to mentioning: - Front fog lamps need replacement glass - Front Headlights "Flip-Up" motors need to be repaired or replaced, up until now I have been manually flipping them. - Engine needs work my mechanic has told me that it has a miss. - Engine has a slow coolant leak - Back bumper has some paint airation - Front windshield has a small un-noticable nick in it I will point out. You can only see it if your looking for it. - Trunk Motor needs repair or replacement. I currently have it rigged up so that I don't need to use the motor to lock the trunk. Just a normal click in place. - Right door cupholder needs replacement. (It broke off) I still have it in the back seat. - Oil gauge tends to get stuck sometimes. - Minor exterior damage of coarse, nothing specific worth mentioning. I have listed everything in this list down to the smallest problems. The Coolant Leak: The coolant leak is in fact present but does not cause extreme concern, I might have to refill the anti freeze resivour once or twice every two months. This hasn't been a problem for me as I have known about it for about a year and have been driving everyday. 2.) The Lights and Light Motors As I said the front FOG LAMPS need replacement glass, this can be found at a junkyard or place of your choice. The fog lamps work fine. The Light Motors are moving when the light switch is flipped but the lights do not go all the way up and lock in place. Looking into the problem I have found that there are bushing repair kits for these motors on eBay and have learned that the reason the motors go bad is because of those bushings wearing out. If you felt like replacing the motors entirely I'm sure a junkyard or eBay would do nicely. 3.) Mileage Highway or City? The mileage on this car is in fact mostly highway because my dad owned it before me and used it for work 4.) Are their any cracks on the dashboard from sun exposure?
