this auction is for a 1979 pontiac firebird,with a 400 ci motor,which has been rebuilt,and a 350 turbo automatic transmission.this is a canadian car,and registered in in british columbia.it showed a milage of 83000 km(app. 53000 miles),on it.the car should have been washed,but due to change of season's,outside water was shut off earlier,in the month,so water spots,from rainy periods,are showing,along with dust collection.i have changed the original speedometer out of it,but still have it,which can go with car,if buyer wants it,as other only reads in km's.there is a rusted out area,below back panel,which has not been repaired,but should be  an easy fix. car only has some  bondo,which i placed on the right rear quarter panel,and a couple of spots around door area,by door locks. it looks like someone had tried to pry open doors,but nothing bad,just  small area's.the car is in pretty decent shape,for a car this old.it has been painted,but is not a professional type job,as,there are a few small runs,in painted area's. the paint was re-touched up,on the front section,and the drivers side front fender,and door,but  paint does not perfectly match up with color originally applied,as it shows a bit darker,and should be redone,other than that it is a nice looking,running car.it is shadow blue.all the following area's were also painted,door jambs,inside trunk lid,underneath hood,etc.the interior has been re-died,for a reasonable match with the exterior.the car is an esprit,originally equipped with a 301 ci engine,but i changed it over to a 400ci motor,with a 350 turbo tranny,which works perfectly.it has air conditioning,for the car,which is,factory,but not at present connected up, but all parts are there,and featured in the trunk,with all the neccessary mount brackets,etc,and also cruise control,(factory)which also in not connected,but alparts are there.all lights work properly,as does the brakes,horn.etc.the heater core is new.the car is not a rust bucket,and the floor pans are good,as is the trunk.tires are in excellent condition,and are 14 ",and are not the  original ones .i would, myself, not hesitate to drive car across canada,but this is not a guarantee,just my opinion.it has 1968 heads on it,with a compression ratio of about 10-1,and uses  pump gas.not sure on gas milage,as i have only driven it for short distances,in and around town.the interior is okay,with cloth type covered seats,which are in good condition,but actual color is a bit darker than shown hereas i attempted to redye them also.floor carpet is black,and is okay,but not new.glass is all okay,no cracks.the rest of the plastic ,quarter panels,sail panels,etc,are in good condition.the dash has a small crack,(repaired) in it,i have added the rear spoiler on back,for looks(not from factory).i have front,and side,and rear  spoilers available,but were not put on,as these were not originally with car,but could be added for small fee.motor has a quadrajet carb,and seems to get decent gas milage.has pause windshield  wipers(factory),rear window defogger.basicaly car would need to be gone back thru completely,to make a show car.any other questios,email me.i will only sell to USA and Canadian Residents only.i will require a 1000.00 deposit at close of auction(paypal only),and balance within seven(7) days,with a certified cashiers check,or paypal only.and any transport arrangements are to be made by buyer,only,and car is to be picked up here at my residence,in Oliver,bc_V0H1T0 tele 12504985122
