You are looking at a NUMBERS MATCHING 1970 GTO RA III "The Judge." This highly optioned car has a 4spd, A/C, PW, PS, 24 options total. I am the second owner. I purchased it from the original owner's estate upon his passing. Car has gone through a complete frame off restoration. The restoration was done by Steve Dietz of Florida Pontiac. You may check out his web site at: www.floridapontiac.com.

This car is correct in every way. Engine, transmission and rear end are the original equipment it was born with back in 1970. The restoration took 2 years to complete. I looked for and purchased all NOS quarters and valance panels. I wanted to enjoy the car so I decided not to restore to a "trailer queen" type, but a car meant to be taken to shows and enjoy a great drive on good weekends. This car is as close to a 100 point car as you can get. The only things that are missing are the stamps and stickers needed for a show car. Sometime during the lifetime of the car, the original points distributor was removed. I have looked for and found a correct RA III, standard points distributor part # 1112024.

Listed below are the options listed on the PHS and original invoice, these are as follows:

CODE             EQUIPMENT                                                  CODE                     EQUIPMENT

SVT                CORDOVA TOP                                              332                        THE JUDGE

354                 4 SPD. TRANNY (M-20)                                   361                        SAFE - T - TRACK

401                 RADIO P/B                                                     411                        REAR SEAT SPEAKER

444                 MIRROR REMOTE                                          464                        FORMULA STEERING WHEEL

484                 RALLY GUAGE CLUSTER                               494                        CONSOLE

501                 POWER STEERING                                        502                        POWER BRAKES DISC

504                 STEERING WHEEL TILT                                  534                        ELECTRIC REAR WINDOW DEFROST

551                 POWER WINDOWS                                        554                        DECK LID RELEASE REMOTE CONTROL

564                 POWER SEAT LH (DRIVERS)                          582                        AIR CONDITIONING

654                 LAMP-DOME READING                                   671                        LAMP UNDERHOOD

684                 GUARDS DOOR EDGE                                    694                        MOLDING WHEEL OPENING

I have the original Invoice, PHS document, Build sheet, Protect-o-plate document, temporary registration for 1970 and most registrations from 1970 to 1990 when the car was finally parked.

The original interior looks incredible for being 40 years old. No cracks or cuts on the original dash. Everything on this car works as it should.

At the time of the painting stage I chose not to install the Cordova top. I thought the car would look better without it. I think it does. With the sale of the car I am providing a new white cordova top and original chrome moldings for the roof. Also, at the time of the undercarriage stage I chose not to spray the undercarriage with the sealant as factory did in 1970. The undercarriage is painted correctly and looks sharp. I asked Steve to overspray the white paint to the undercarriage as it was done at the factory. I have over 300 pictures of the restoration on a CD which is included.

Negatives with the car: Air conditioning has a leak, I am purchasing a new compressor in the next couple of weeks or will adjust winning bidder. Power booster has a vacuum leak, I will be replacing it also or will credit amount to winning buyer. Wide O Oval tires are junk as far as I am concerned were a waste of money, past 65 MPH the tires vibrate. A set of radials will be required if you want to go faster than 65. No other negatives I can think of.

With the purchase of the car and the restoration I have over $100,000 invested to get the car to look as good as it does. Whoever buys this car will only pay a fraction of what it costs to get a car to this level of restoration. My loss is your gain, this economy has not been kind. Do not let this one get away as I am 100 % sure this car will double in price in the next upcoming years.

I have described the car to the best of my ability and will answer any questions you may have, please ask before bidding. There is no warranty offered or implied. I hold the right to remove this listing at anytime as I am selling this car locally. Good luck !!!
