Vehicle History Report Summary for 1972 Pontiac Le Mans 350 2bbl
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
PRICE DROP!...15 minutes left... get Her a new home A 1972 Pontiac Le Mans. Car first sold October 22nd 1971 to my Uncle who purchased the car new and drove it until his death in 1994 at the age of 96 years old. I have owned the car since 1994. When I got the vehicle I installed the following: Front and rear coil springs, upper & lower control arm bushings, center link, tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, motor mounts, cross member, exhaust manifold gaskets, a new set of pipes, carburetor, alternator, timing chain (@120,000) Expansion valve for the A/C, the system ran @ 40 degree for 12 years then the valve crapped out again. The system is currently charged with R-12 but needs another valve. The car has the original power train. In the last 15 years I have driven this car from Boston to Los Angeles back and forth 6 times and moved to Colorado with it towing a 6x12 U-haul with ease. I do not drive the car often, but when I do I trust it to go anywhere in the country without a problem at any time. The car has 4 wheel drum brakes and no power assist. A bench seat and shift on the column. The car also came with a vinyl top but it was so sun beat and cracked that I took it off. the interior is black. The car could use a body restoration. The old man did have the car under coated when he bought it and he kept it garaged. It is a Massachusetts car and is solid over all with the exception of body issues behind the wheels and in the trunk which is typical for that region due to the use of rock salt in the winter. The frame is solid. The floor is solid. The seats need to be re-upholstered, new rug, etc. If you intend on doing this car properly then you know what needs to be done. I have the original bill of sale and window sticker. A great car to work with for the right person. If you own a body shop then you are definately ahead of the game. This car is mechanically sound. If an item broke I fixed it and stayed on top this car mechanically. I wish I had the body done but unfortunately I did not. Any Questions or if you need more photos of any specific area just ask. If you purchase the car, you can fly in, fill the tank and drive it home. If you choose to transport it that's fine too. Good luck everyone. Footnote: If you buy the car I will toss in the remaining 28lbs of R-12 in the 30 lb cylinder I have set aside just for this car. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
