1946 Pontiac Indian Torpedo Eight hot rod in gasser style that drives very well and draws a lot of attention! Have had it out on many long runs to shows the past two summers and have NEVER had a problem - cruises very nice at 70MPH. A Texas car all of it's life until I bought it, with an awesome original body and undercarriage(see pics - all rockers/seams still completely intact). It was primered with black epoxy and then sprayed with Sem's Hot Rod Black, giving it a sweet satin black finish. PLEASE READ COMPLETELY AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. Freshly rebuilt .020 over sbc 350, a strong and solid motor around 400 HP. Balanced rotating assy, 22203 hydraulic Melling cam, completely rebuilt camelback 2.02 heads, flat top pistons(10:1), Edelbrock Performer intake, Barry Grant Demon 650 carb. New Doug's ceramic-coated fenderwell headers with a custom exhaust. Mr. Gasket cutouts are brazed in and feed the custom side zoomie straight pipes, or flow to the back through Cherry Bombs(the pull cables are mounted between the front seats, so you can open or close them anytime). Has MAYBE 1000 miles on it now since rebuild. Saginaw 4 speed with new univeral Hurst-type shifter and linkage. Ford 9" (3.50 gears) with leaf springs and Chassis Engineering ladder bars. Ford Econoline straight axle lifted an additional 4 inches. THE PICS SHOW MY OLD SET OF WHEELS, THEY ARE NO LONGER ON THE CAR. It now has a very nice set of recently purchased Keystone Klassics with 26x7.5-15 and 29x12.5-15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires. They look very nice on this rod! Drum brakes all around, installed all new. 12 gallon fuel cell with a sending unit, so there is a functioning fuel gauge. Tach, oil pressure and water temp gauges. Spun aluminum tank mounted up front. All the lights and signals work, dome light and horn, too. Rear windows roll up and down. Passenger side window and rear driver side window are cracked(left all glass in original condition intentionally). Skull and feathers are airbrushed/painted, the rest is vinyl lettering/stickers that can be removed easily. Email with any questions. It is a great runner and a TON OF FUN! It is a hot rod and not a trailer queen or show car. Registered with original 1946 MN plates. I have a CLEAR TITLE in my possession. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for local sale. Anyone interested is more than welcome to come and inspect the car in-person. MAY CONSIDER AN OLD SCHOOL HOT ROD/RAT ROD, OR A DIFFERENT GASSER, FOR POSSIBLE TRADING.
