SYMPTOMS

 

The symptoms for a RER/REW unit with a corrupted hard drive, is that the "Navigation is being activated" never goes away and if you look at MENU-SYSTEM SETUP-MANAGE HDD- SPACE AVAILABLE, it shows the HDD with 0 GB of space. The HDD never mounts.

 
 
Easy Installation
 
Press the OPEN CLOSE button, then insert disc. Software will auto-load, then ask if you to confirm upgrade. Once this is done, the upgrade will continue, and will re-set the unit a couple times during such, until done.
 
When it gets to the screen asking you to upgrade again (and both the unit's version and disc version MATCH, you can press the OPEN CLOSE button, to eject the disc, as you are DONE! 
 
WARNING! Do NOT press any other radio buttons or shut off vehicle during upgrade! (doing such can do permanent damage to your unit!)
 
To COMPLETE the repair/restoration process, you will ALSO need RER/REW disc version 1.220. Please buy it from my eBay store at the same time, to have both discs ready, when needed...
 
The upgrade process is very easy. However, because of the nature of this product, I cannot be held responsible for any damage you may incur, due to improper install.

This disc was made by Chrysler. It was prepared by THEM on a CD-R disc, and takes up 368MB.
